Retired PD Vehicles Get New Life

Police Interceptor

Over the years I have consistently been acquiring retired police vehicles from various auctions and municipal bids. For those that are familiar with fleet vehicles, they are some of the toughest, most reliable vehicles on the road. And...they're cheap! I've always wanted a Mercury Marauder but I was never able to afford one, which is why I kept buying Crown Vics. Though I have sold all but one in my collection, upon graduation I plan to re-up and purchase a 2006 or newer so I can build my own Marauder. That, or I'm simply going to purchase a Marauder. So if anyone has one and would like to sell it to me, give me a call!

These photos are of the vehicles as they are just pulled from service

Each car has its electronic and police specific equipment removed prior to bid

Typically these cars are never cleaned and are not taken care of by the people who drive them

The cars are advertised and purchased 'as is'. Inspections are encouraged before bidding

Mechanical elements are inspected prior to bid

Once the bid is awarded the restoration begins

Here is the finished product
